Your NATIVE CREATIVE Self is Calling...! Do you Answer?

Welcome to the rabbit hole. Let's get down.

So we can rise.

NATIVE CREATIVE

I’m feeling creative, Called by my native, Inner being that was born.

She is just new again to me,

Because unfortunately, To me it seemed, Creativity,

Was a little scorned.

Also, dissuaded, debated, and placated, At least by the greater nation, Quite like it’s pervaded, Cuz creatively creating, Is no way, For a wage slave, To behave.

A story we’ve been told,

Creativity is just too bold,

You can’t fit inside the mold,

If you’re going beyond it.

We’ve been taught this lie, But there is wisdom much older, Lurking inside, Right there on your shoulders.

We’ve all got the drive to live a little more, But we’re animals, trapped inside intricate doors.

Work is needed, Life takes living, You can’t just take, There’s joy in giving.

Not giving your time, In exchange for fancy paper, But giving your time, And heart to a neighbor.

Where do you plant your feet each day? What deeds unto your hands make way? Do you get to feel the sunshine, Or rain on your face? Do you get to love freely, Yet have your own space? Do you get to decide, Where your feet take you next? Or is it back to the same thing, Full of regrets?

What if I told you there is another way? One that we could all bravely co-create, And usher in a new age, a new day. One that actually requires some change. Not just a new red or blue face in the way. Would you want for that freedom, Or just go on with your day?

Division of labor, Works in our favor, But makes us rely on each other, Like relying on mother. All my sisters and brothers, It can work just fine.

But with hate in our hearts, And this concept of time, Some of us just worry, About mine, mine, mine. What if we traded with things of pure worth? Not paper money, but stuff of the earth. Products and services that do it no harm, Instead of all this cause for alarm. Our mother is nature, Our father, the sky. If we dim their light, So dims the light in our eyes.

So cast off your anchors,

And unfurl your sails.

Get back to creation,

And write your own tales.

Written Summer 2014. First poem of my Idea List Poetry book.

About NATIVE CREATIVE:

This poem was an attempt at pointing out some major problems in American and industrialized society

and what might be the root cause of the problems.

I know many people who feel trapped at their jobs,

especially for financial reasons.

Would you do your job if you weren't being paid in dollars?

The human soul is much healthier when it is happy

with how the person is spending their time.

Time is the most precious thing we have in this life!

It is too precious to spend doing work

that does not

contribute to your happiness

and your quality of life in any way

except a paycheck.

If you work a job that is fulfilling,

I'm so happy for you!

Thank you for

contributing to society

in a positive manner

and letting yourself experience peace in your heart.

This peace and sense of accomplishment

will surely radiate outward and affect the

lives of those who encounter you.

IF you do NOT feel fulfilled at your job,

understand that you must realize your time is precious

and that you deserve to feel satisfied with the work you

put so much of your energy into!

(Work-a-holics this is especially important for you)

I wish for you to find a way to spend your time

that lights a fire in your heart

puts a spring in your step

and, not only puts twinkle in your eye,

but puts a super nova in your soul!

And it makes you feel GOOOOD.

And excited about life.

When you feel excited by life outside of your job,

it becomes even more difficult

to spend precious time doing unfulfilling work

at jobs that are not serving your highest purpose

or the good of the planet and beings on it.

But this is a good sign!

It is your soul letting you know,

Through boredom, or frustration,

or apathy, or low energy, or depression,

that it is time to find meaningful work for yourself.

This work may be in addition to your normal job at first.

I know our society is designed to make us entirely dependent

on money.

That is partly what this poem is about.

I want everyone to be able to contribute to society,

in a helpful manner,

that also makes them feel valued,

and as if they are contributing to a greater good,

The problem is, work that makes you feel good

and responsible for good things,

often doesn't pay much money,

or doesn't pay at all.

Or CAN pay a lot, but only if you get into

a cut-throat mentality where all decisions

must be based on profit only (not the well-being

of employees, customers, humankind,

animals, land, water, air, and so on).

So, we need a different way to compensate people for their time and energy

spent on activities that nourish the soul,

and contribute to society in a positive way.

So instead of our normal monetary system of dollars and non-cents,

I want to explore other options.

Like a Trade and Barter economy.

Or a new service I just heard about called TimeBank

that trades services,

person to person,

hour for hour.

Please contact me if you have any other ideas for

how to build a better system of exchange.

(You are getting to the deepest parts of the rabbit hole now...)

Also, money, as it is, is loaned to entire countries from a

private (for-profit) bank,

it is called the Federal Reserve,

but it is not government owned,

They own the government.

Because every dollar that is printed,

and loaned to the government(s),

comes with a little bit of debt.

If you understand this, you will begin to understand

the HUGE implications of this,

and why we need to put another way of living

into action as soon as possible.

Self-reflection

and

Education beyond

what you are "supposed to know"

are the first steps.

Thank you for reading.

We can make things so beautiful

with a little bit of time

and a lot of faith

in each other.

I believe in us.

Love, Emilove.
